Depending on what level of understanding the pupil is aiming for, we’ll start with nailing the fundamental concepts for each religion and use exam questions to consolidate understanding and practice exam technique after covering each chapter of the course. Ideally homework would be set, it would generally consist of learning relevant teachings which we would test at the next session unless the pupil would rather consolidate knowledge and have more core content based homeworks. Media wise i would use a mixture of written work and online resources such as youtube etc just to allow the student to see context for the chapters we cover. I have experience tutoring a different subject (english) and was able to bring a grade 3 student to a grade 5/6 level (their aim) within 2 months.
