Rosalie Nickerson

I have 20 years experience teaching languages, and my aim is to fully engage with, and encourage my students to enjoy the learning process so they enjoy connecting with their subject. This boosts their confidence and therefore their competence in the language/subject.

I have a BA Honours in French, and I have a Cambridge certified CELTA qualification, as well as being certified in Physical Theatre with distinction!

I have taught to

* Primary school children and teenagers in France, including after school clubs;

*International groups of all ages and levels in various renowned Brighton based language schools - ISE, Language Studies International, Spraachcaffe .

* One to one tuition in General and Business English to employes of international companies in Paris.

* Private tutoring for children/teenagers aged 11 to 18, teaching English as a Foreign Language, GCSE English, GCSE French. I have also taught Academic English to Univeristy Students, 1 to 1.

* Online EFL to French & Chinese students.

My work has also taken me to Italy and Spain, where I taught English to Italian High School students and Theatre in Education to Spanish primary school students.

Teaching Techniques : Encouraging communication/writing through structured classes, based on needs and interests, as well as specific exam requirements. Once needs are established, I provide a productive and balanced programme.


French Teaching : I have a BA Honours French and 10 years experience working in France. I also teach French to children and adults. I have taught French in nurseries and private tutoring to young adults.
