I was lecturer in the Department of Spanish at the Faculty of Foreign Languages and Civilizations at Nanterre University (France). In the same time, I was lecturer in the Dual Degree Spanish and Law Program (Department of Spanish in partnership with the Faculty of Law at University of Nanterre) for the following courses: Reading and understanding legal documents in Spanish, Spanish public Law.
As a Spanish teacher, I used a range of course books and materials, along with a variety of audio-visual aids, to encourage students to communicate with each other using the structures and vocabulary they've learnt and to improve the four basic language skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing. A strong emphasis was placed on learning culture as an important part of language acquisition; in that sense literature plays a fundamental role. This position has allowed me to gain experience teaching Spanish at a range of levels. It also allowed me to use a lot of tools in teaching, for example Literature and Law. I am currently enrolled at the Cervantes Institute where I am studying pedagogy.
