I have over two years experience tutoring, following achieving an A* at A Level. I understand what it takes to get top marks in exams and always aim to give you a good balance of 'real life' Spanish and exam technique so it never gets boring.
I tend to take a practical approach as this is what I feel will get the best out of the lesson. I will normally start with a light bit of theory or grammar, and then proceed to put the theory into practice to really cement the learning that has just been done. I have not only taught GCSE and A Level Spanish, but also have taught English to working professionals in France, which was highly rewarding and really opened my eyes to different styles of learning.
I myself have ADHD and so understand how hard it can be to focus on something new and really get to grips with it, especially when it comes to language learning. I will work as hard as possible to truly understand you as a person and then from there build a relationship with a mutual understanding of each other. I consider myself a good listener and will always use analogies and examples to ensure my explanations are processed.
Most of all, my lessons are always a relaxed and friendly environment, as this is always going to be the best way to learn, when you are at ease and ready to consume information. My other passions include music, sport, travelling and food just to name a few, you can find my music on all platforms as an insight to my personal life! I look forward to working with you,
Rory Sturgeon
