I am currently a Second Year Medical Student at the University of Leeds, so I know a thing or two about working hard. It hasn’t been easy to get to this position but with the right mentorship, I believe anything is possible.
I have been tutoring for one year and have an extremely high success rate, not only in increasing the student's grade by at least one, but also increasing their confidence and making them enjoy learning. Many of them managed to exceed their expectations and one student even jumped from a 5 in Maths to an 8 in GCSE with the right teaching methods. I can teach all abilities and confidence levels and will endeavour to find the right teaching styles for you.
My teaching style will consist of a range of learning the knowledge as well as applying it through active recall and being able to memorise the facts which is key to doing well, mini tests (scores do not matter) and past paper questions which can be worked through independently as well as with me. Answering questions is not only about the knowledge but also about application and being able to understand the information the exmainer is trying to extract. I believe variation is key to finding the best learning style for a student as well as being aware that we all make mistakes and they are there to learn from.
I am excited to be able to help other students achieve the grades they deserve and are capable of.
