Roji Bala

I carry more than 9 years of experience in teaching English language and literature to the students coming from different parts of the World and with varied educational backgrounds. I started as an English tutor in 2013 at a nearby school where I taught upto senior secondary school that is year 11 and 12. Thereafter, I joined a college in 2014 and served as an Assistant Professor of English for 6 years. During COVID-19, I got relieved from my duties, and I started searching for some online tutoring jobs. I got my first break as an online English communication Expert at a platform called Mastree by Unacademy in December, 2020 where I taught for 8 months until this platform was formally shut down. After this, I joined an international teaching platform called Airclass Singapore in Feb, 2022. Here, I taught English language and literature, SAT , ACT, GED GCSE, IGCSE, English to the students. This platform got closed in India and I got recruited in Unacademy, one of India's most prestigious organizations, where I solved English doubts of competitive exams. At present, I am working as an English SAT, ACT, GED, GCSE IGCSE, IB TUTOR at an Australian company named Meet My Coach. I have been rendering my teaching services here since August, 2022. I love to motivate my students and make learning a comfortable and enjoyable experience. I always aim to make my classes comfortable and give my students the opportunity to express themselves and have more talk time, so they can build confidence and get to improve their communication skills. I try to make my lessons practical, as well as personalizing them to each student.
My lessons are always lively, filled with enjoyable activities and most importantly my lessons are beneficial to my students. I use various teaching methodologies, props, flash cards and a white board to accomplish the desired goal. I make use of Total Physical Response and Communicative Approach to better convey the knowledge to my student.
