In my lessons, I aim to create a supportive and engaging learning environment tailored to each student’s unique needs and goals. The format is highly flexible, but I typically start by assessing the student’s current understanding of the topic, identifying any gaps, and setting clear objectives for the session. Each lesson includes a combination of explanations, guided practice, and problem-solving exercises, ensuring that students not only grasp the concepts but also know how to apply them effectively.
I use real-world examples wherever possible to make the content relatable and easier to understand, especially for subjects like mathematics, where practical application is key. If a student is preparing for exams, I provide targeted practice on key topics, share exam techniques, and work through past papers to build confidence and familiarity with the format.
Having experience as a maths tutor for Riley Tutoring and a strong academic background in Economics and Economic History from the London School of Economics, I bring both subject expertise and teaching experience to my lessons. I understand the importance of adapting my approach to suit each student’s learning style, whether they prefer visual aids, step-by-step walkthroughs, or active discussions.
Above all, my goal is to help students develop a deep understanding of the material, gain confidence in their abilities, and achieve tangible improvements. I encourage questions and foster a collaborative atmosphere, ensuring every student feels supported throughout their learning journey.
