My name is Rochanaa and I am a first year student Pharmacist from Ireland studying at the University of Brighton, looking to be a french and math tutor.
The most experience I have of tutoring is from when I was in secondary school; I regularly helped my classmates in french, as it is my native language. I found that they understood the subject better when I explained it compared to when the teacher taught in class. I was also a prefect, and took on the role of a mentor to guide students in their first year of secondary school through their academic journeys.
Languages have always been natural to me. Maths, however, is a COMPLETELY different story. I know how frustrating it gets when equations and sums don't work out and trust when I tell you I've spent countless nights crying over the subject. However, I found that with the right teacher, with a different approach, it gets easier to understand.
As a tutor, I give some homework and expect continuous revision on the lessons. I believe I'm quite friendly and easy going, however I am quite strict if work and effort isn't being put towards the lessons. I do weekly check-ins and monthly assessments to make sure we're both on the same page with the content and I try to make my lessons as easy to follow as possible.
Feel free to reach out to me via email (), and I look forward to helping you excel! ! !
