For one-to-one Tutoring, Mentoring, or group learning, I encourage an interactive learning format based on encouraging the student/s to be curious about the subject area.

I believe that critical thinking forms an essential part of any learning method; and particularly in understanding certain subjects - such as Law & Humanities - in their social context, assists the learning process.

I use a variety of formats - which include memory cards, nutshells, Q&A - depending on the individual student character / needs; and the aim of the lesson whether it is introducing a new subject area or a Revision Based Lesson or Private Tutorial.

I am an experienced student mentor to undergraduate level who encourages students to challenge themselves to develop enthusiastic learning methods in their chosen subject areas; and equally to develop skills to overcome difficulties within their learning environments or faculties.

Additional Skills:

In the public sector I have experience working as an Appropriate Adult with children and vulnerable adults within the legal system; which training also is a valuable tool for recognising where additional needs - such as learning difficulties - may require to be met in schools and colleges.

As a Schools Governor in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets, additionally to monitoring Education & Learning methods and outcomes, I have written Mediation Program/s aimed at KS2/3 level pupils to help them to deal with issues such as Bullying and to attain skills and understanding of themselves in situations which challenge children at this (and future stages) of their learning journeys.

Companies & Business:

Based on a Mediation background in Law / Legal Dispute Resolution and Training and Accreditations including Chartered Institute of Arbitrators Mediation Accreditation; and Advanced Mediation Training with MATA (Mediation Accreditation & Training Awards) I develop Critical Thinking Problem Solving Programs and Solutions for Companies & Business Communities; to recognise problem areas and anticipate and resolve problems both before and when they may arise
