Lessons can be in the format of your choice depending on what areas you want to improve in. Typically, the standard lesson types will fall into two categories — reading, or speaking.

In a reading-based lesson, I can supply reading materials that we will read through together during the lesson, and you can answer questions on the material in your own words. I will guide you with any difficult pronunciations, unknown vocabulary, or unfamiliar grammar structures that you come across. You are also welcome to bring your own reading materials.

In a speaking-based lesson, the focus will be on conversation. This can be on a topic of your choice, or I can choose one for you. This will be most helpful for developing your speaking fluency, pronunciation, and listening skills.

But most important of all is that you are learning in a way that suits you, and that you feel is most effective. Therefore all lesson plans are dynamic and changeable according to your needs. My aim in teaching is not only to help you learn in the most effective way, but also to ensure that you are comfortable and enjoy the process.
