My experience includes two years as a maths tutor for the lower years of high school with one year of history tutoring for struggling Y11s about to enter their exams. Both sets taught me how to interact with different types of students and understand how information is processed differently depending on the student in question. A thorough explanation of the topic with complete availability to ask questions at any stage. Practise questions are key in the development of students so I will make that a huge part of it as well. It will be a very friendly environment with no criticisms, only suggestions on how to do something differently. Each student will feel a connection on a personal level as I find it is important the student feels comfortable and is not intimidated by my assessment of them or my teaching style. No lessons will feel rushed as this will not help the student remember the information. The formats of my lessons will vary in order to create a more interesting dynamic as nothing is more boring than doing the same thing over and over again! As a current student in Y13, I have a better understanding of the lower years than most so rest assured I will provide consistent and quality assistance every step of the way.
