My teaching style is fast and efficient but also accompanied with generous time for practical application.

My students are mostly busy nurses who work 12hr shifts 5-7 times a week. They don't have the luxury to sit in a classroom and listen to a 3 or 4hr lecture. They're too tired and drained to study anything for more than an hour. This is why my sessions are aimed at condensing 4hr lectures into 10min videos. At the same time, I sincerely believe experience is the best teacher. While 10mins are allotted for lectures, I like to use 30 to 40mins for exercises and activities. The goal is to simulate real test scenarios so the lesson will be memorable and directly applicable to the IELTS or OET exam. As a teacher, giving feedback and time to Q&A can be even more important than the lecture part of my lesson. This is why I allot 10 to 20mins for evaluating the student's output and giving constructive actionable feedback. I do not like general tips, I give specific step-by-step actions for improvement.
