Students have the choice to follow my own course system, guiding a student from being a complete beginner to a complete guitarist, or to as far as the student wishing to go, or the goals can be student driven, where the student describes the goals and relevant course material can be taught accordingly
As a teacher, patience is seemingly endless, able to break down concepts to as small steps as needed, or dense material can be taught to those who are able to absorb it, such as already advanced players who understand pre-requisite concepts.
In either case, lessons are in a relaxed atmosphere.

10 years experience in running own guitar tutoring business, resulting in between 15 and 20 students per week and a 0% drop off rate due to unsatisfactory lessons, and virtually 100% reliability when it comes to punctuality.

Experienced in teaching guitar to help people towards various achievements such as Duke of Edinburgh awards, guitar certificates, Standard grade and Higher grade music.

Experienced with teaching Jazz, technical fusion material, and advanced harmony

Transcription professional; have transcribed several hundreds of songs, ranging from popular music to Jazz standards. This includes being commissioned to transcribe for people separate from tutoring

Experienced with teaching students with learning disabilities such as dyslexia and ADHD

Gigging experience in genres from Jazz to Pop to Rock to Metal. Examples of venues played at include EICC Edinburgh, the Scottish National Gallery, Arcade, Cabaret Voltaire

Also assisted with open mic nights and pub performances at Espionage Edinburgh and Gilmerton Miners Welfare & Social Club

Toured the Scottish Highlands for 3 months as a teenager performing Highland Traditional music with 9 other musicians

Performed Technical Progressive Metal at UK Tech Fest in Newark England

Travelled to NAMM in Orange County LA twice to review and demo instruments for musical gear Journalism

Previous had a youtube channel with 3800 subscribers and views, collaborating with one of Scotland's most famous youtubers, and one of the worlds biggest amp sim software companies
