Currently Director of Art at Cranleigh Prep School, I have been in teaching for twenty years with experience teaching Fine Art at an Art School in USA as well as teaching Art to prep school children aged 7 to 13. I am comfortable tutoring GCSE Art and I currently run small group Art classes for adults from my studio on the West Sussex/ Surrey border.
I believe that the best way to teach Art is by practical demonstration as words are often not enough. I’m an expert in colour theory and can teach on digital platforms such as Photoshop and Procreate.
My aim is to encourage a sense of pride in each of students at the same time as making sure that everyone feels artistically enriched by their experience.
With over 30 years of experience as an illustrator, portrait painter and designer, as well as teaching, you or your children can benefit from my wealth of experience in all media.
As a professional artist the world of sport illustration provided an opportunity To combine my ability to capture a likeness with my training in landscape painting. I produced images of stars from horse racing, cricket and motor racing. In 2008 I was commissioned by Saatchi & Saatchi to produce four paintings of sporting dogs for their Otrivin campaign. The work was awarded a gold medal at EPICA, Europe’s advertising awards.
I have also undertaken commissions from many private clients including George Cole MBE, Ross Brawn OBE, Richard Benyon MP and ‘Dragon’ and entrepreneur, Sarah Willingham.
