At the start of our lessons we’ll discuss what the student is struggling with and set an objective. We will then tackle material (past paper, questions, text etc) where the student and I will problem solve together. The sessions will be guided by students and I always encourage them to ask questions and make mistakes as that’s the best way to learn. Then we will write up a formal answer and self-assess, discuss how the student feels about the topic in comparison to the start of the lesson and briefly discuss the next topic for the next lesson.
