As an online tutor, I am confident using softwares such as Zoom and Teams where I am able to use the ‘Share screen’ and ‘Whiteboard’ option to explain topics. For my lessons, I usually talk through a topic or a concept with students first, going through example questions. I find that this helps to boost their confidence with the topic and with questions relating to the topic. After they feel confident enough, they have a go at the questions themselves. As understanding basic concepts is such an essential element of maths, the more questions students do, the more stronger this foundation.
