I love reading and creative writing. In fact I’m in the progress of writing my own book . Therefore I love teaching English and, having received 2 9’s at GCSE level I feel highly qualified to teach GCSE students. Furthermore, I also received a scholarship to the prestigious private school Charterhouse, the Ben Morris scholarship, and I would love to let other children have the same experience as me. I can tutor students very effectively for the private school exams, having gone through them and excelled myself. Students of mine have even made it to elite schools such as Trinity, Whitgift and JAGS. I employ an innovative approach, helping children to love reading and also to form excellent essay structure at the same time. I am a very good teacher of essay technique, helping students unlock the highest possible marks for comprehension, which is the topic a lot of people struggle with. Essay technique is helpful not just for English, but even subjects like History and Geography. Furthermore, I am also well acquainted with the 11+ exams, having excelled in them myself, and I am well placed to train children to go to prestigious grammar schools as well. I love to instil reading as a core part of my English lessons and even employ unique tactics to unlock children’s creative capabilities, tasking them with turning an ordinary sentence into an extraordinary sentence. Having gone through the GCSE’ anthology for poems used in the coursework, and having received a score of 59/60 in my own English coursework, I can definitely help students find success in their coursework.
