I am currently entering my second year of a BSc in Economics at the London School of Economics (LSE), where I continue to build on my strong mathematical background. At GCSE, I achieved straight 9s, including in Further Maths, and at A-Level, I earned A*s in both Maths and Further Maths. In my first year at university, I chose to study Real Analysis and Mathematical Methods, both advanced courses that go well beyond the standard requirements of an economics degree.
I also have extensive experience working with children. During the summer of 2022, I worked at children's summer camps in the Masovian Lake District in Poland, where I led various sports lessons, including dinghy sailing, swimming, kayaking, water polo, tennis, and football. Due to age restrictions, I wasn't allowed to be fully responsible for a group of children, so in the evenings, when my sports activities were over, I assisted a designated host with their duties. This experience greatly enhanced my communication skills, particularly with children aged 10-14.
Throughout that year, I also taught regular classes for Ukrainian refugee children attending a private language school in Warsaw. Here, I worked with older students, aged 16-19, who had varying levels of English proficiency—ranging from beginners to near-fluent speakers. Managing these classes was challenging, so I often split the students into smaller groups based on their abilities and tailored different learning methods to each subgroup.
Combining my strong mathematical skills with my substantial experience working with children, I am confident in my ability to effectively teach maths up to A-Level Further Maths standard.
