As a teacher, it is very important to understand the current level of each and every student in the said subject. I believe in interactive sessions consisting of Group Discussions, poetry recital and debates. English is a subject that cannot just be taught on pen and paper. I always encourage my students to take out time, maybe just before bedtime to read a minimum of 5 pages of any book they like which is not related to any coursework. I also believe that assignments are also a way to evaluate the level of the student. I prefer to do so through story writing or story telling. I also provide some visual story writing practices in order to see how imaginative a student can get when it comes to writing and thinking.
