In my tutoring sessions, I aim to create a supportive and engaging learning environment where students can build both their understanding and confidence in Maths. With over a year and a half of tutoring experience and a strong academic background (having achieved a grade 8 in GCSE Maths and completed Maths at IB level), I am well-equipped to help students succeed at all levels. I take a student-centered approach, tailoring each lesson to the specific needs of the individual.
I typically begin by identifying areas where the student feels less confident or struggles the most. From there, I focus on breaking down complex concepts into simpler, more digestible parts, ensuring that students fully grasp each idea before moving on. My lessons often incorporate a combination of direct teaching, interactive problem-solving, and practice exercises to reinforce learning. I like to use real-world examples where possible, making the material more relevant and interesting.
What sets my tutoring apart is my genuine enthusiasm for Maths—having enjoyed the subject myself, I want to share that passion with my students. I understand how frustrating Maths can be, but I believe that with the right guidance, anyone can master it. My aim is not only to help students improve their grades but also to foster a positive attitude towards the subject so that they can approach challenges with confidence and persistence.
If you have any further questions, or you would prefer to have a meeting set up where we can discuss how we can make your child more confident in both Maths and their examinations, then do feel free to contact me.
