Getting students results has been a full-time passion for Rissah over the past ten years. After undergraduate graduation and the highly competitive and rigorous application process, Rissah joined Teach For America. During this time, Rissah served as a full-time classroom instructor. She, her grade-level partner, and their students were named the most improved grade in the district, and the school was named the most improved school in the state. Since her years in the classroom, Rissah has become an expert full-time standardized test and academic tutor to students of all abilities. As a student and an educator, Rissah understands that these short-term goals have long-term impacts. Making students feel comfortable while learning is a high priority for Rissah, so be prepared to have some laughs in between instruction!
