Mindmaps, in my opinion, are extremely underused by A-level students during revision all the way up to the final exams. The power of mindmaps and spider-diagrams will allow your brain to make useful comparisons between topic areas and even different subjects that might be similar in practice. For example, a mindmap on interventionist/free market supply side policies can involve welfare and state policies that have repercussions for sociology, politics and many different topic areas in economics itself, including: Economic growth, inflation and unemployment.
During my own experience in A-level we created our own mini work group, which I would argue has helped me indefinitely in regards to improving communication and presenting helpful ideas.
