For me I thought the best way of learning was through answering problem questions which is what I would do with my students. In previous examples of me being a tutor we would bring a problem question up as a group and go through the question line by line annotating what issues where present in the question. Once all the issues were identified, we would then identify the rule of law around that issue, including relevant cases and case facts if needed. When this is done we would look at the application of the question and use this questions facts to apply the rule of law to the question and after this is complete we would conclude the answer.
Once that method has been completed [I like to call it the IRAC method] we then fully answer the question and mark it together to see what could have been improved and what we missed on the mark scheme for that question.
However, me stating this does not necessarily work for everyone, so, if there is a specific way you learn and take information in I will plan a lesson around you to make sure you get the best possible chance of understanding the content and the best possible way of spending your money.
Thanks and I hope to be hearing from you and all of your law problems soon :)
