I did my University studies at Imperial College London, from where I hold a BSc in Biomedical Sciences with Neurosciences, as well as a MSc in Human Molecular Genetics. I have been teaching for 10 years as a classroom teacher, and 12 years as a private tutor, and have helped numerous students make excellent progress and achieve the grades that they want, getting into excellent universities to study courses such as Medicine. I also work as an official examiner of A-level and GCSE Biology during the summers, for the exam boards Edexcel and AQA. My lessons are very interactive where I focus on the needs of students and what they would like to focus on the most. I always explain everything thoroughly and never 'assume knowledge'. I meet a student where he/she is at and build from there until they have reached an excellent state of proficiency. I believe that all students are able to achieve a top grade and I specialise in bridging a gap between where a student is to where a student wants to be. A great deal of students have developed a passion for the subject from my lessons and wish to pursue it further. I also have great rapports with my students who look forward to my lessons; I make the enjoyment of them as good as the learning! When assigned a tutee I always ask what they would like me to focus on the most so that I can prepare my lessons for them accordingly.
