He and his wife, Kate Finn write, produce, and perform in their own original stage productions. He is a patient, supportive, and innovative music teacher. Rick works with you on a song of your choice or he can recommend great ones at your level. He is always positive, encouraging, and supportive. He truly loves piano and he loves sharing that passion with his students.

Our older son has been taking piano lessons from Rick for eight years and our younger daughter for four years. They both adore Rick and look forward to their lessons with him. He is easy and fun to work with and he fosters their love of music expertly. What is unique about Rick is that he asks his students what songs they want to play and then he writes out the music at their level. The students are SO motivated to learn how to play as a result. There's no drilling silly little songs from a piano book. There is just the music they have chosen. Rick can handle any style of music including pop, rock, jazz, musical theater, and classical. He is amazing! I highly recommend Rick as a music teacher. He is having a profound and positive effect on my children's musical lives and I am so grateful we found him all those years ago.
