I have used Zoom, Teams and Google Class to present classes online. I use a combination of slides, worksheets and video as discussion points but will usually tailor my work to suit the needs of the student. As a media and film specialist, I often use video as an entry point into discussion or learning with my students.
Having ideas to link or add context to are extremely important when teaching so I try to select relevant and engaging case studies when teaching to make key concepts easier to grasp. We can go at a fast pace, including quizzes and hinge questioning, or we can go slower and more in depth for when perhaps we are working on an essay or dissertation.
I have experience studying at Doctoral level and can often help students find engaging resources and reading material that is fit for purpose and will enable them to achieve the top grades. This is also helpful when looking at essay writing or creating a longer project, such as coursework, and making sure it meets the rubric of the exam.
As an experienced examiner, I am confident at marking work and ensuring that I explain feedback fully so that students know how to progress to the next stage.
Throughout my career, I have worked at several large schools across cities and the home counties. I also have experience of teaching adults and regularly lead meetings related to my subject and specialism.
