I have taught psychology in universities for over 40 years, but I am now retired from the academy. I still like to keep my hand in. I am highly experienced teaching at all levels from A-level to Doctorate level and I tailor lessons to individual student needs and knowledge. I am also experienced teaching psychology to health and social care professionals, both as parts of their degrees, and as continuing professional development. Over my long career I have taught: memory psychology; cognitive psychology; psycholinguistics; communication skills - I have coauthored a book on this; psychology of eyewitness testimony; health psychology; social psychology; personality psychology; criminological psychology. I am highly specialised in the addictions and have written four books about aspects of addiction as well as over 100 academic papers.
