For more than 14 years, I’ve helped learners to use language creatively and expressively.

After teaching English in secondary schools, I moved from further to higher education. For the next 10 years, I worked at a Russell Group university where I gave lectures on technical writing. Having taught all levels from year seven to postgraduates, I take pains to adapt my teaching to the needs of each student.

As a tutor, I specialise in boosting attainment in GCSE English Language. My teaching is aligned with the main exam boards including AQA and Edexcel.

I treat learning as a journey. Each step is guided by the goals you’re working towards. At every stage, I’ll help you build on the progress you’ve made previously.

As a proficient Spanish speaker, I understand the challenges that language learning presents. To overcome these barriers, I break down lessons into accessible units. And as a bilingual, I can offer tuition through the medium of either English or Spanish.

Ultimately, people learn well when they take ownership of their learning. That’s why I get to know my students and the approaches that work best for them. In this way, I help every student to achieve their full potential.
