So generally start with some warm up techniques, then I would look at chords and rhythm depending on their level of playing. Then I would look at scales and arpeggios other things again depending on students level and link that into lead work if the student so desired. I always have a student working on a appropriate riff or song and try and incorporate other aspects of the lesson in the song. Music can be in tablature or classic notation. I always like to use resources in my lessons that the student can take away with them also.

I have taught one to one, small groups and music workshops with thirty two children aged 7-13 for Notts County Council.

I have been playing guitar for 28 years in bands in the East Midlands, i have almost 8 years of professional guitar and bass tutoring.

I specialise in rock, funk, jazz, blues, country, folk, but can play some classical.

As well as helping people get started on the guitar I can help more proficient players with more advanced techniques and theory and any bad habits or technique issues.
