There will never be a lesson where you won't have your instrument in your hand. Many lessons will be a mixture of fun exercises designed to teach new techniques to theory ideas, often requiring the student to think outside the box. Lessons can also involve feedback on existing work that has been in between lessons.

Students are encouraged to ask questions and be curious to explore new ideas, it is important in my eyes to focus on what a student is curious about, as these things will often stick with them.
