Reuben Harry

Hi my name is Reuben Harry, I have 17 years of experience working in education within a primary school setting. I have worked in a SEN department for 15 years. Within this time I have worked as a learning mentor, a SEN TA, a classroom teaching assistant, an SEN Inclusion officer and I also spent some time working as a youth worker within my local community.

I enjoy supporting children with their learning and helping them to achieve their set learning objectives and to reach their full potential. I have supported children in both KS1 and KS2 in class and out side of the classroom, doing one to one and in small groups.

I supported children with their English, maths lessons, reading and speech and language ( I have a level 3 qualification in speech and language ). I have supported many EAL students who were new to the country and also those who required extra help with the English language. I have taught many children who have had autism, ADHD, global delay etc and also non verbal communication.
I have delivered many intervention programmes, created lots of learning plans and I am very familiar with using educational health and communication plans.

I also did daily online sessions working with students for 2 years throughout the lockdown period supporting them with all subjects.

I was responsible for writing half term and end of term reports for all supported students, I also regularly attended meetings online and in person to discuss any progress or concerns with parents, other staff members if necessary and outside agencies such as speech and language therapists etc.
