I have taught Maths for 4 years now, and work alongside with students to pinpoint weaknesses and topics they do not understand. Working with an exam focus by following exam boards but will also add content to help view these topics in a wider context and to aid with further steps in any mathematical field. Context will be covered thoroughly, and the student will be asked questions whilst covering the topic to make sure each point is clear. By answering questions and working through step-by-step, rather than memorising content and struggling to apply theory later on, you will understand how to apply to a multitude of scenarios.

Any questions you would like to go through, such as homework given or questions not understood from school, will also be covered. I will work through them with you, ask you to answer the question and guide through the process, to help increase problem solving ability. This counters the technique used in schools where an answer is given either with minimal explanation or too much explanation and not allowing you to come to your own conclusions.

Help will be provided outside of lessons too - if you have any quick questions to ask, feel free to text and I will respond ASAP with workings, and although understanding the process of workings is encouraged, a voice message to explain steps if needed will also be provided. I'll also provide advice with future steps into higher education or anything really! Don't feel shy to ask for help!
