I've been teaching for 15+ years and have lots of experience helping students build their skills in all areas of English and Language Arts. These areas include Reading, Grammar, Comprehension, Composition and Spelling and Vocabulary.

I am also an award winning short story and screenplay writer. I use different types of activities like storytelling, music, puzzles and games when I teach to make analogies and help keep concepts simple. English can be complex but I am very good at keeping things simple, focused and manageable in each session.

I believe that language learning should be well rounded so I highlight six focused language building skills in the main subjects I mentioned above: reading, writing, listening, speaking, viewing and visually representing. It's not enough to just focus on a few. They must all receive proper attention if you want to learn English well.

I use a mixture of teaching strategies to speak to different learning styles. These can include, but are not limited to Educational Games, Computer Assisted Instruction, Dramatisation and Demonstration. I focus on one skill and invite my students to practise and build competence and confidence using a mixture of strategies and learning activities. It's about simplicity and creativity to spark curiosity and make the biggest impact.

Apart from my skills and expertise, what makes the world of difference is my love for teaching and my desire to see my students excel and make progress. I am invested in every student's success no matter how small. I create safe spaces to try, make mistakes, learn and grow.
