Hi, I am Ren Jie. I am currently a penultimate student studying Economics in the University of Warwick. My hometown is Singapore.
If you are looking for a Maths tutor, look no further! I have much experience in tutoring Maths. I have volunteered to teach Maths from primary level to A-level in Singapore. Maths is often seen as abstract and tough to understand, but that is not the case! Often, it can be very visual, and that is the format I try to use to teach Maths.
After understanding the concept, I think it is important to practice, practice, practice. It is essential to be fast and accurate in exams, and that is the way to score. However, one has to practice smartly, in order to ensure that each question done is going to be helpful. This is where the tutor comes in to point out the essential skills, to highlight careless mistakes, and to give tips so that the student can ace Maths under exam conditions.
Personally, I enjoy the rigour of Maths, which is why I have been doing very well in Maths exams my whole life. I have scored the UK equivalent of A* on Further Maths in A-levels (in Singapore we take A-levels too, but the format is different). In university, Economics is essentially Mathematics, and I am currently in the top 1% of the cohort. This is testament of my Mathematics ability, and I hope to also make Maths an enjoyable subject for other students too.
