Rema Termanini

I am a qualified and experienced Arabic teacher with over 15 years of teaching experience. I hold a degree in Arabic Language and Literature from the Lebanese University and currently teach Arabic to non-native speakers, GCSE students and adult learners. I also work as an Arabic examiner and Team Leader with Cambridge Assessment.
I teach children, teenagers and adults at all levels, from complete beginners to advanced learners. Every student has different goals, so I carefully tailor my lessons to their level, interests and preferred way of learning.
My lessons can focus on Modern Standard Arabic, everyday conversation, reading, writing, listening, grammar, pronunciation, or preparation for GCSE and A level examinations. I use a communicative approach that encourages students to speak and apply what they learn in practical situations. Rather than simply memorising rules, students practise through conversation, examples, pictures, activities and carefully prepared materials.
Lessons are interactive, friendly and well structured. I explain grammar clearly and gradually, and I regularly review previous material to help students remember and use it confidently. I also provide useful notes and learning materials to support independent practice between lessons.
For examination students, I focus on the required skills, exam techniques and areas in which they need the most support. I monitor each student’s progress and adapt future lessons accordingly.
