I’ve had quite a lot of experience teaching students especially from age 5-15 and I must say it was quite fun. Yes, fun because I always try to explain or pass information to them in a way they best understand. Most students understands more when you give them a detailed explanation of what you’re saying while some tend to catch up on what you’re teaching faster without having to give them a deeper explanation it doesn’t mean those who require extra effort and explanation to understand are less intelligent. I always tell my students that “no two students are the say therefore I do not expect y’all to have the same mental capacity learn and understand at your own pace it may be hard at first but you’ll definitely get it right it might take some time but come on who cares do you. You don’t need to force it just let it sink in”.
I’ve applied different methods of teaching and I apply them after observing my students and knowing what method best suit them. There’re students that learn better through teamwork and there’re students that learn more through storytelling. That means you’ll have to teach the topic in form of storytelling in other for them to understand.
