I have an over 5 years experience as a tutor in over 3 schools in South Africa. Furthermore I have held over 30 online lessons in both English and Maths. I hold an IB Diploma where I obtained a grade 6 in English HL. I have a Biokinetics Degree from Northwest University in South Africa. My passion for teaching has propelled me to help and inspire students to learn English and math.

At the start of each lesson I set specific, measurable goals for each lesson so that students understand what is expected and can focus on mastering key concepts.

I mostly use formative assessments (quizzes, assignments, discussions) regularly to gauge understanding and provide timely feedback.

I offer constructive feedback which is always specific and actionable, focusing on how students can improve rather than just what went wrong.

I provide support at the start of a lesson and gradually remove it as students become more confident and capable. This inspires independence within my students.

Most importantly I relate lesson content to real-life situations and current events. This helps students see the relevance of what they’re learning and encourages deeper engagement.

I Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive atmosphere where students feel comfortable taking risks and making mistakes.

I Manage the classroom effectively, ensuring students have a conducive environment to focus and participate.


After each lesson, I reflect on what worked well and what could be improved,then adjust my teaching approach based on student feedback, assessment outcomes, and my own observations.
