Hi there,
My name is Reiss and I am an Online Science tutor and Academic Coach with over 3 years experience. I started tutoring GCSE students during my A Level studies and then tutored GCSE and A level science after graduating. After completing my degree in Biochemistry at the University of Bristol, I continued my tutoring full time and have just recently joined the Find Tutors platform!

I pride myself on my ability to keep my lessons relaxed whilst also being heavily focused, which has been very popular with my students. In my sessions we focus on discussion-based learning, with the use of continuous questioning and other Active Recall activities to help strengthen memory and comprehension. Each week I set activities to be completed outside of sessions, which we reflect on at the start of each session and highlight any areas of weakness. In doing this my students become more self aware, accountable, and organized with their studies. Throughout my tuition I also curate my own Exam Papers using past paper questions for each student based on their areas of weakness, which we track at all times using an interactive spreadsheet that the student updates regularly.

Through my sessions, I aim to give my students the skills and confidence to smash their exams and ideally continue on to study at degree level. My teaching methods have seen my students improve their grades in ALL SUBJECTS, as we develop a revision strategy tailored towards their individual learning style.
