I am currently a University student doing my Bachelor's degree in law with international relations. I have coursed through Cambridge International GCSE exams and the International Baccalaureate bilingual diploma, managing to achieve exceptional grades, especially in subjects with essay writing like psychology, Spanish and English literature as well as my extended essay. I was part of a competitive debate team for 4 years which allowed me to improve my analysis, research, public speaking and communication skills.
Each student has different abilities, learning rates and learning methods so I like to communicate with my students to personalize my lessons to each person's needs and what works best for them. I usually divide my lessons into two parts, theory and practical. I begin by making sure students have the basic foundation of what they are studying and the contents of the subject and then I focus on practising things like exam-style questions so that students get a grasp of what it is like to put their knowledge into practice which is ultimately what is asked of students to do in exams.
Finally, in my recent experience being a student myself and coursing through challenging programmes like the IGCSE and IB, I learned the value of good note-taking and the effect that can have when it comes to revising the material. Because of this, I help my students create good notes or revision material so that after they end their tutoring, they still have material to help them with future exams or studies.
