I previously tutored year 10s in foundation maths by helping them prepare for their tests and helping them with their homework. I was able to break down complex ideas into simpler parts and smaller steps to transmit to my students. Before the start of our first lesson I will ask you for a list of topics you would like me to cover (don't worry if you need me to go over everything, I can absolutely do that for you). I start off every lesson with a exam style question from a previous topic we have covered, then going over it. I will teach you the content according to the specification provided by your exam board and we will end the lesson with at least two exam questions as practice makes perfect. Eventually I will start timing you during these exam questions. After we finish a topic I will give you a mini test filled with exam style questions and we will dedicate a whole lesson to going over that test and perfecting every mistake. As I have done both my GCSEs and A levels I have lots of exam tips, whether its to help overcome exam anxiety or just simple tips on how to pace yourself etc. I also have a range of resources from websites to books to videos that can be very useful especially during those last few days leading up to your exams. I will hold the first lesson free of charge as I will be using that time to get to know your strengths and weaknesses and of course you can ask me any questions you want as well as tell me what you expect from me.
