Hi, I'm currently completing my Masters in Computer Science at Newcastle University in England, but I spent the last three years in China teaching English to my amazing students and I miss it dearly. Teaching is one of the best jobs in the world, I love watching my students become increasingly confident and I'm excited to help you nurture your love of my language. I specialise in helping my students learn through literature, there's a plethora of books that span through every level.

First, we will work out your level, which may be different for the three main areas; reading, writing, and speaking. I will send you books that relate to your level for you to read, we will read through the books and discuss different literary concepts. For beginners this could be identifying their favourite part and discussing why they enjoy it, for intermediates it could be describing the characters and discussing why they did things, and for higher levels it could be discussing the way the author uses pathetic fallacy to change the overall mood of the book.

The start of our lesson will begin by going through your homework, which will be set at the end of every lesson. This will be a book report related to one of the books you have read. We will then discuss the book at detail, we may even read through the book if you have struggled. We can discuss any words you don't know, or things that didn't make a lot of sense. Then we will discuss the book and introduce to you literary concepts based on your level. Then we can discuss anything that you want. I can teach you something you didn't understand in class or give you advice on upcoming examinations. I can also go through your English homework, or the essays you're writing for applications. I have done all of these things successfully in the past and had outstanding results with my students.

I can also teach programming, from all ages up to high school. I am proficient in many languages and frameworks.
