The lessons will be mapped out in a structured way, with each lesson building on the previous one to allow for the development of skills.
Each lesson will be tailored to the individual's learning style, so we will spend 5 minutes at the end of each session asking where we want to go next regarding content and how the content is presented. The central aspect of these study sessions will be understanding where students need development. Interactive lessons will be my crucial technique in ensuring there is an increase in confidence in English. English has multiple components: understanding the text, analysing the text, explaining and identifying methods within the text, writing essays, revising, and managing time. These are all skills that are needed to ace A-level and GCSE English. I have struggled with these things throughout my GCSEs and a bit into my A-levels. I have now developed strategies that have helped me gain strength and confidence in each of these aspects, and I would like to pass these on in a personalised and understandable manner.

The main aim of these study sessions is to create confidence in English as a subject. Lessons can be used for revision, analysis of the text together, help plan essays, editing essays based on feedback, reading paragraphs and giving feedback, and for an understanding of techniques to ensure you ace these exams!!
