After messaging and getting to know your English level, we will meet online and use a mixture of books and conversation to help you improve. Reading aloud, practising vocabulary, and understanding and spotting sentence structures will all help you with your comprehension, listening, and reading skills.

Being an author, I understand and have studied the complexities of the English Language beyond most native speakers. I know how to use English grammar, sentence structures, and punctuation to target certain audiences, create a feeling in the reader or listener, and communicate complex ideas. I am understanding, caring, and patient, happy to tailor my lessons to you. I am happy to offer more structured lessons as well as looser lessons, focusing on what you want and what you need to improve. Having taken language lessons myself, learning Cantonese Chinese, I understand your position well.

In your first lesson we will talk together, I can answer any questions you have, and if you have something you specifically want to talk about or look at, we can. If not we can practice reading together and I will explain anything difficult or confusing we come across. If you want to continue taking lessons with me, we will set goals and create a lesson plan so we can reach your language learning goals.

Just a little a about me: I have a Masters degree in Children's novels, own an adorable dog, and love eating hot pot. I am currently awaiting publication for an anthology and writing my first independent children's novel.
