Rebecca Riley

I am a retired primary school teacher, having taught in the primary sector for 19 years. My degree was in English with Qualified Teacher Status. I have had a wide range of experience in the teaching sector, having my own class, supply teaching and working in state and private schools.

I have experience teaching students with different needs, e.g., dyslexic, autistic, ADHD and students with emotional behavioural problems. My own daughter is dyslexic, so I have personal experience of the struggles many dyslexics face because they just need someone to teach them a different way.

For the last year I have moved to working online 1-1 or face to face with students in Key Stages and 4. I am a positive, bubbly person who loves to learn. Because I love to learn, I also love to facilitate others learning! I have a good sense of humour and a big heart! I love to read and always have a list of books on the go!

This has always been my motto and I have found it an absolute privilege to have the opportunity to help young people grow and develop, not just in their academic knowledge but in their confidence and self-esteem. I am patient and encouraging and want my students to get the most they can from each session. I am a good listener and believe that it is important to assess children's needs and cater my lessons to match their needs.
