Rebecca Ovenden

I’m Rebecca, I am offering tutoring in fine art. I graduated in 2018 with a first class honours degree (BA) in fine art, and continue to study and create artwork. I have both practical experience and knowledge of a wide variety of art styles and mediums, because art is my passion.
I would always like lessons to be student focused, where you get to learn and practice in a style or medium that you’re interested in.
I primarily work in sketching, paint, and photography (digital and analogue). But I have extensive knowledge in other areas including sculpture, textiles, video and printmaking.

As well as various mediums, I have theoretical knowledge of all major art movements, and I am well versed in lots of artists from the classical through to the contemporary. I can recommend artists, books, galleries, and online resources to aid in your learning.

I come from a working class background, and didn’t find my place within the arts until my late 20s. Now my aim is to share my practical skills and knowledge to make art (both practice and theory) accessible and enjoyable for others no matter their age, experience or skill level.
I believe art should be fun and full of feeling, and would love to share what I’ve learned with those who have interest, creativity and passion.
I am available for online or face to face tutorials, I can be flexible with dates and times. All you need to do is have your own materials and, more importantly, your ideas!
