My lessons are always tailored to the individual I am tutoring as everyone has different needs and I feel it is important to acknowledge that in my lesson planning. I always like to make sure that my students have a say in what our lessons will contain and the pace at which they would like to cover certain topics ie if they find something easier we can move through it quicker than something that is found to be more challenging. With that being said I do ensure that a broad range of topics are covered in each lesson, for example I always ensure that not only practical music is in lessons but also the technical work, theory, sight reading and aural tasks are competed as well as these are all part of curriculums set by examination boards and schools/universities throughout the uk.
