I like to ensure the first session covers the subject specification and the student understands the overall layout and format of the upcoming exam before going on to cover specific chunks of the specification throughout our sessions. I use a mix of techniques, including mind-mapping and revision cards, to ensure the student can understand and learn the material, and then revise this material at the end of each session with mini quizzes, subject tests and games to ensure the student has fully understood the lesson and its content. I also focus on exam technique and question practice once the material has been taught; this is a really important component of my lessons, and students have achieved very impressive exam results after tuition with me as a result of this. I use past papers and mock exams to ensure the material has all been acknowledged and understood by the student, and we will continue to revise any material they are slightly unsure on as the sessions progress. I always work with my students towards their exams and will ensure I can tutor them throughout their preparation so they experience a smooth and easy process of tutoring, and can feel comfortable and reassured within the lessons that they will be listened to. I am patient and understanding, and have built some great relationships with my students as a result of this; I always put my students first, and ensure each lesson is meticulously planned so that they can achieve their full academic potential.
