I tailor my lessons around you and your study needs using a variety of helpful resources such as PowerPoints, worksheets and interactive exercises, as well as unique and innovative ways of explaining scientific concepts through illustrations, analogies and demonstrations. Lessons may take the form of interactive PowerPoint presentations, working through examples together, creative or practical activities, simple conversations or combinations of the above depending on your needs and learning styles. No two lessons are exactly the same as I like to mix things up and keep your tutoring interesting for you. I am a big believer in interactive lessons and student participation, giving you the opportunity to direct and assess your own learning. My main specialism is Chemistry, but I can also help you with Applied and General Sciences at GCSE and A-Level or equivalent. Your success is my greatest pride and I will use my strong English Language, Mathematics and of course Science skills to support you through your every exam, assignment and piece of coursework until you achieve your desired goal, whether that be your full qualification, one small part of it or anything in between. Exams and assignments can be stressful, so in addition to academic support, I can also offer you moral support and the benefit of my experience of having been through that stress myself and helped students through it to successfully come out of it on the other side. I have worked in both Further Education and Secondary Schools on a one-to-one basis and continuously strive to get the very best out of my students in an engaging, understanding and student-centered way.
