Teaching people has always been part of my attributes I possess. During my college days, I had friends who had only move in to the country and struggled during lectures and lost interest in school due to language barrier. I took it up on myself and spent 2 hours each day after lectures with them trying to explain what we learnt in class and also thought them the basics they need to express themselves. I also bought them a recorder so they could record what the lecturer says in class and could do a replay when they get home so they can understand it in their own pace . After a couple of months, they had a grade C in their English language exams which was a big achievement for both them and myself because initially they were failing.
