Hi, my name is Rebecca and I'm excited to introduce myself to you as (hopefully) your online English teacher.

A bit about me - I live in England but have also lived in the US, Europe and the Middle East and I love travelling and meeting people from different cultures. I love animals, and I have a dog and a cat whom I adore! My dog goes everywhere with me, and we can often be seen hiking through the English countryside! I also love reading, and especially like fantasy novels - so I'm a bit of a geek!

I'm CELTA accredited, with a degree in Psychology and Criminology, and I teach academic and conversational English and can adapt my lesson to suit your individual needs. My approach is person-centred, which means that you are the most important person in deciding how your lessons will go. We will consider your aims, your learning style(s), your cultural background and any specific issues you would like to work on and I will plan the lesson for you so we can make it the best it can be. I aim to make my lessons worthwhile, but also engaging and fun! I believe that we learn better if we enjoy what we are doing!

I have background in counselling and safeguarding, which means I have experience of working with vulnerable people, and have a lot of sensitivity to any struggles, mental health problems, and trauma, and I will work sensitively to accommodate any concerns.
